This Privacy Policy explains how Bongabdo handles information in the Bongabdo Android app, the bongabdo.in website, and the bongabdo.in date API. Bongabdo is a Bengali calendar utility that converts Gregorian dates into Bengali calendar dates for supported regional standards.
Bongabdo does not require an account, does not show ads, does not sell personal information, and does not request access to contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, SMS, call logs, photos, or payment information.

Information Handled by the Android App
The Android app requests internet access so it can load Bengali date
data from https://bongabdo.in/date.json. The request sends
the Gregorian year, month, and day selected by the app for today's
local date. The app also stores the following information locally on
your device:
- Your selected calendar region, such as India / West Bengal or Bangladesh.
- The latest Bengali date response cached for offline display and widgets.
- The day on which the cache was last refreshed.
This local cache is used only to display the date, update home screen widgets, and avoid unnecessary network requests. The app does not use this local data to identify you.
Information Handled by the Website and API
When your browser or the Android app calls bongabdo.in, the server may receive standard technical request information such as IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, and similar server log metadata. This information is used for security, debugging, abuse prevention, service reliability, and basic operation of the website and API.
The public date API receives Gregorian date fields such as year, month, and day. These fields are used to calculate and return Bengali calendar dates.
Analytics and Cookies
The bongabdo.in website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website usage and improve the service. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may process technical information such as pages visited, browser details, approximate region, and interaction events. The Android app does not include Google Analytics or an advertising SDK.
Sharing
Bongabdo does not sell personal information. Security
The Android app uses HTTPS when requesting date data from bongabdo.in. Access to operational systems and logs should be limited to what is needed to operate, secure, debug, and maintain the service.
Retention and Deletion
The Android app's locally cached data remains on your device until it is replaced, cleared by the app or operating system, or removed when you uninstall the app. Server logs and analytics data are retained only as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, debugging, analytics, and legal compliance.

Children
Bongabdo is a general audience calendar utility and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app, website, API, or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
